Uptomore is a Dutch-rooted investment app with a single thesis: investing shouldn’t be exciting. 4-minute account setup, low fees, no gamification, no crypto, no options. For salaried professionals who had been told for a decade that they needed a financial advisor to start investing — it was a revelation.
But distribution was a war. Every neo-broker in Europe was shouting the same promise (low fees, simple UX) on the same channels (Meta, Google, TikTok). CAC on paid social had tripled in 18 months. Uptomore had great retention and word-of-mouth, but the top-of-funnel was starving.
SEO against eToro, Trade Republic, Revolut Invest was unwinnable in the short term. Content marketing was slow. They needed a channel that reached salaried professionals with investable savings (€50K+), got past the skepticism, and converted to funded accounts — without burning the cost-per-acquisition economics.
The brief: 300 funded accounts in 12 months, €60 blended cost per funded account or less. Outbound, executed properly, was the only math that worked.

Copy written around Uptomore’s core contrarian thesis: investing is boring, and that’s the point. Each sequence ended with a 4-minute setup CTA — not a demo, not a call. Friction to the product, not to us.
Reply rate stabilized at 12.6% by week 8. Reply-to-funded-account conversion: 21%. Avg first deposit: €13.2K. By month 6, 180 accounts funded.
Each new user who deposited €10K+ got a personalized follow-up asking for a 2-line testimonial. Those testimonials became the next wave’s copy. Flywheel.
Contrarian framing cut through. While every other broker screamed about features, we wrote emails that said "if investing is exciting, you’re doing it wrong." That line alone lifted reply rates by 40%.
The CTA was the product, not a meeting. We didn’t ask for a demo or a call. We linked to a 4-minute signup flow that Uptomore had already optimized. The product closed the deal. We just got them to open the door.
